Local Attractions

The Olympic Peninsula

The Olympic Peninsula is a 3,600 square-mile area of western Washington. It's bounded by the Pacific Ocean, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Hood Canal.

The Olympic Peninsula offers a variety of diverse activities to enjoy. For instance, you can choose from any number of state and national parks to visit. Probably, the most well known is Olympic National Park. It covers close to a million acres, and includes rain forests, glacier-capped mountains, and miles and miles of wild coastline.

Looking for peace and quiet? Try the Hoh Rain Forest, one of the quietest places on earth. The forest gets up to 14 feet of rain per year and is covered in a variety of mosses and ferns. It is a unique ecosystem that has remained unchanged for thousands of years.

Closer to A Harbor View is Quinault Rain Forest, which receives 10-15 feet of rain, per year. Quinault Rain Forest is sometimes referred to as the "Valley of the Rain Forest Giants" due to the many huge trees located in the forest. Massive Sitka Spruce, Western Hemlock, and Douglas Fir trees can be found in the forest.

For more information on all that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer, give us a call. We know the area well, and we'll be glad to help you plan the perfect trip.

Local Restaurants

Dining Options

The Aberdeen area has a variety of excellent dining choices, all of which you're sure to enjoy.

For the best in fresh local seafood, try Breakwater Seafood and Chowder House. They've been in business since 1987, and serve excellent seafood dishes. And, since the restaurant is right on the riverfront, it's a great location for viewing local wildlife, such as seals and birds.

Another popular option is Billy's Bar and Grill. Located on Heron Street, in a building originally constructed in the early 1900s, Billy's offers an eclectic menu, with everything from Jumbo Coconut Prawns to a Saloon Beef Melt.

Reviews

Highly recommendable classic traditional B&B located in a quiet but convenient part of town. The large comfortable nicely decorated rooms sported attractive electric fireplaces which worked very well to create a visually appealing source of additional heat on January days. Power strips at each side of the bed solved the usual challenge of not finding enough receptacles for overnight device charging. Cindy is a gracious, helpful host serving great breakfasts, including the best orange juice in two weeks of traveling, in the lovely sunroom with a view. We enjoyed our first stay so much that on our return trip up the coast we were very pleased to get a room again. Cindy also recommended nearby restaurants where we enjoyed excellent dinners.
Perfect Stopover in Aberdeen. BengalConte, Trip Advisor
We were here in 2012 and wanted to introduce friends to Olympic National Park so we started here. Cindy's hospitality provided the perfect start to our trip. Our friends loved it as much as we did. We again chose the Harbor View room and it was just as great as our first visit. Our friends were delighted with their stay in the Canterbury room. We were only able to stay one night this time but we made the most of our short visit. Make sure to take Cindy's walking tour of the historic homes. Thank you Cindy for having our coffee out early and preparing us a very tasty breakfast. We appreciate your kind hospitality
Another WONDERFUL visit. kvd, Trip Advisor
The room we stayed in, the Windsor, had the best view! The pictures on the site don’t do it justice. The house is very Victorian and has older furniture throughout to complement that fact. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was fantastic!
